The creators of a regularly updated satirical podcast called ‘Naneun Ggomsuda’, which has been downloaded by over six million people and helped cause the defeat of the U.S.-aligned ruling party in the 2011 Seoul mayoral election, arrived at the Prosecutors’ Office after being summoned for questioning due to a complaint by the loser of the October election, Kyung-won Na. The election victory of the center-left candidate, Park Won-soon, who is now the mayor of the capital of South Korea, was a significant defeat for the U.S.-aligned ruling party.
