Caracas, Venezuela, February 22nd, 2012, an indigenous man takes part in a demonstration supporting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez two days before the president’s departure to Cuba where he will have a second surgical procedure in his ongoing fight against cancer. Chavez has won numerous democratic elections in Venezuela in the last 15 years but Chavez’ illness has led to widespread speculation that the right wing may be able to win the election in October.
